About the Role
- As the Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for conducting tests -both manual and automated- and ensuring that changes that the internal team carried out are successfully tested before deployment to Production environment.
- Your role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, security, high performance and availability of the company’s multiple platforms and data cleanliness, while also maintaining the test suites and scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Create test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on project requirements
- Identify testing scope, objectives, and success criteria
- Execute and own end-to-end testing and quality assurance functions Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing approaches and goals
- Ensure & drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Conduct various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Document test results, defects, and issues encountered during testing
- Verify bug fixes and tracking their resolution through to closure
- Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress and outcomes to stakeholders
- Identify areas for process improvement within the QA workflow
- Propose & implement enhancements to testing methodologies, tools & frameworks
- Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria
- Communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and prioritize testing tasks
- Participate in meetings, stand-ups, and reviews to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines
- Ability to analyze code and identify potential areas for test automation
- Continuously enhancing technical skills through self-learning and training programs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience, with knowledge & proficiency in
- Test automation tools & frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Jest)
- Scripting languages & frameworks (JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, Flutter)
- Databases (SQL) & Version control systems (Git)
- Issue tracking systems (Azure Devops, Jira)
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Understanding of software development life cycle and the testing process as a part of it, combined with strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills.
- (Wishlist) Experience in running an Automated E2E in an Ephemeral Environment for Web Apps and native Android + iOS Apps
Work Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
- Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
- Status: 4 months Contract
