Web Developer

About the Role

• The Web Developer is pivotal to the successful delivery of quality and creative solutions that are aligned to client expectations and executed within budget and timelines.
• Responsible for new builds, adjustments to existing sites, and integrating Accessibility functionality, this role is primarily focused on the production of quality work, research and innovation to deliver results that surprise and delight our clients.
• This technical role requires the ability to work within a small team and collaborative with the broader business including Creative, Digital and Account Management teams
• You will collaborate with the Digital Team:
  • Google Console
  • Google Tag Manager – complex tracking
  • SEO deployment and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Customer focus
  • In collaboration with the Creative and Project Management teams deliver work that reinforces our capability, our creative promise, and brief delivery.
  • Foster an interdependent and collaborative working relationship with internal teams that supports our client relationships and accurate brief delivery.
  • Follow established communication guidelines.
  • Strong focus on delivering recurring revenue through the ongoing updating of existing websites to reflect customer needs.

• Solution development and delivery
  • Design and code superior technical solutions.
  • Key attributes are patience, thoroughness and care.
  • Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
  • Build and include Web Accessibility Standards.

• Project execution
  • Receive, design and develop for complete build or adding functionality such as integration into CRM or Accessibility.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure project is within the original scope and achievable.
  • Communicate and enforce coding standards.
  • Manage resources within budget and project schedule.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services to clients.

• Architecture
  • Possess significant knowledge of client server and internet systems architectures.
  • Create well-designed, reusable components.
  • Understand browser specific compatibility issues.
  • Familiar with responsive design and requirements to deliver web solutions for both desktop and mobile.

• Quality assurance
  • Quality control over outputs and production, including accuracy and delivery to deadlines.
  • Establish and develop best practice within the Development team.
  • Proactively search for and fixing bugs.

• Other responsibilities
  • Assist with the review of quotes.
  • Unity and compliance to all Ivy Street processes, policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Candidates must have at least 4 years of related commercial experience in a similar role.
• Web and mobile-web development background
• Highly accomplished programming skills, but attention to detail and quality are paramount.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, HTML & CSS.
• Possess strong knowledge of PHP & SQL.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of structured programming languages.
• Understands the benefits/limitations of various programming languages.
• Familiar with Git/Bitbucket development workflows
• High level coding accuracy with strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work and deliver under pressure in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
• Can demonstrate a high level of integrity

Work Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
• Location: Work from Home
• Status: Full Time Employment
