Flexisource IT marked CEO Richard Gross’ birthday with a three-hour charity visit to Destiny’s Promise Home for Children Foundation, Inc. on September 17, 2026.
The visit was part of Flexisource IT’s yearly tradition of celebrating Richard’s birthday through community outreach. In preparation for the event, employees from Marketing, Human Resources, Recruitment, and IT worked together to prepare donations and plan activities for the children.
About Destiny’s Promise
Destiny’s Promise Homes for Children is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to providing care and finding permanent, loving families for orphaned, abandoned, abused, and neglected children in the Philippines.
Operating in the Manila area, the organisation provides children with a safe place to stay and access to care while working towards long-term family placements. Its staff collaborate with local government units, child welfare offices, and international adoption agencies to help connect children with permanent families through local placements and international adoption.
Destiny’s Promise also advocates for children who may face additional barriers to finding a family, including older children and children with disabilities. Its work focuses on providing immediate care and stability while helping children find a permanent home where they can feel safe, supported, and valued.

An Annual Birthday Tradition
Rather than limiting the occasion to a workplace celebration, Flexisource IT uses Richard’s birthday as an opportunity to support a community organisation. The annual visit allows employees to contribute their time and resources to a charitable initiative.
For this year’s visit, team members prepared donations, gifts, and activities for the children at Destiny’s Promise. The three-hour programme gave employees time to interact with the children, participate in activities, and share the birthday celebration with the foundation’s community.
During the visit, the children actively participated in the prepared activities and welcomed the Flexisource IT team. Their involvement made the programme an interactive experience, with opportunities for employees and children to spend time together.
One of the highlights was a dance presentation prepared by the children as a gesture of appreciation for the visiting team. The performance allowed the children to showcase their participation and talents while expressing their gratitude.
