Senior NodeJS & JavaScript Developer

The role will involve working to assist in producing high-quality, performant, applications including Software Development Kits, Microservices, AWS Integrations, and our business-critical internal frameworks for a range of proprietary products and services. We operate in a fast-moving and dynamic environment through rapid development and Agile practices, using cutting-edge technologies and tools. We want to build the best products we can, so we use the best possible tools in the most efficient ways we know-how. As a senior developer, you must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role.

Key technical skills for the role

• NodeJS
• Microservices
• AWS Services including Lambda, CloudFront, S3
• Containerisation
• Typescript
• SDK Development
• API Integration
• Ability to create clean, testable, scalable, and resilient code
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment

Key personal skills for the role

• You must be a good communicator in both written and spoken English
• You must be collaborative; We work closely with key business stakeholders to surface and examine product requirements, resolve technical problems & brainstorm
• You should be self-supporting (be able to plan your own working day with the objectives of the current sprint in mind)
• An eye for detail and accuracy is an absolute requirement, the applications we deliver must be performant, functional, and standards-compliant
• We integrate with a huge range of APIs and backend services, so knowledge of API development and implementation is vitally important to your role
• Knowledge of, and experience in, a wide range of AWS products & services
• Reviewing the code of fellow team members, giving constructive feedback, approving Pull Requests
• Suitable candidates will have a range of experience in Developing high quality and well-engineered applications
• Working in a team of other developers with different levels of skill and experience
• Agile development practices; sprint planning & delivery, task sizing
• Application testing and optimization
