Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness
- Collaborate with the team to define solutions to requirements.
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
- Analyse and resolve technical and application problems.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Assist with testing to meet committed project deliverables.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4 -6 years of enterprise software design skills in Java.
- Experience with Springboot.
- Tertiary Degree in Computer Science, Software Development/Engineering, or equivalent.
- Solid experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Skills with Source Management (Git, TFS, etc), build scripting (Gradle, Maven, Make), and build servers Bamboo/Jenkins.
- Hands on experience with databases – Oracle (including PL/SQL), Postgres, MS SQL Server, (NoSQL like Mongo a bonus).
- Used source control management systems and continuous integration (CI)/deployment environments (CD)
- Unit Testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes a plus.
- Worked with *nix based operating systems.
- Exposure to JIRA or similar issue tracker.
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, React).
- Exposure to case management, workflow and BPM would be highly regarded (specifically Pega Systems). (not required but useful)
- Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization.
- Practiced Agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.
Work Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
- Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
- Status: Contractor or Part-time
