CLIENT: An Australian student advocacy service, founded in 2003.


  • This role is responsible operationally for Student Edge’s financial reporting and analysis, taxation, and financial regulatory compliance functions


Month-end Reporting

  • Timely and accurate production of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as required including:
  • Balance Sheet
  • Profit & Loss
  • Budget variances
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Month-end reporting
  • Prepare annual financial accounts
  • Ensure the maintenance of financial policies & procedures

Financial Records & Reconciliations

  • Conduct end of month reconciliations and journals
  • Receipts and debtors’ reconciliations
  • Payments and creditors reconciliations
  • Petty Cash management

Financial Oversight

  • Oversee accounting functions and processes, including:
  • accounts payable/receivable
  • daily bank reconciliations
  • Oversee debtor’s collection
  • Continually review the cash position of the business to achieve the highest return possible while meeting operational needs.

Compliance & Audit

  • Prepare and ensure timely lodgment of all statutory taxation requirements including FBT, BAS, IAS, Income Tax returns, R&D returns, payroll tax, and other regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Develop, document, and co-ordinate in conjunction with the external auditors (if any) internal control systems, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in completing ASIC returns and updating company registers
  • Prepare working papers for annual insurance reviews
  • Process and administer Workers’ Compensation claims


  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Establish and monitor procedures for record-keeping and ensure filing systems are maintained and current
  • Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data


  • At least 5 years financial management & accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Australian taxation process.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in MYOB accounting software.
  • Experience in the negotiation & development of commercial contracts.
  • Some knowledge or experience in relation to audit requirements and processes.

  • Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM (PH Time)
  • Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
  • Status: Open to Full time and Contractor
